Paving the way toward a sustainable and greener world, BatX Energies is creating a circular economy by recycling used batteries from electric goods and extracting pure lithium, cobalt, and nickel through a hydro-electro process. The company's primary objective is based on the 'use, recycle, reuse' principle. With a mission to substitute mining, BatX has developed its proprietary “Zero Waste – Zero Emission” technology to produce and refine metals in their purest state. These refined metals are then supplied to new lithium-ion cell manufacturers to create a closed-loop circular economy.

BatX is known for being more than just a recycling company due to its innovative efforts in reproducing the cathode of lithium-ion cells, multistage and multi-leaching processing, and operating on a low-temperature basis. Under the leadership of Utkarsh Singh and Vikrant Singh, the company has occupied a unique position in the industry since 2020. Their innovative approach is backed by a patent for their system, apparatus, and methods for recycling used lithium batteries.

The company was recognized by Forbes India DGEMS 2023 for its global business potential, and not long after that, they successfully raised USD 5 million in a pre-series A funding round. This funding round saw participation from renowned investors like Zephyr Peacock, Lets Venture, JITO Angel Network, and the family offices of Mankind Pharma. Additionally, BatX has partnered with MG Motor India to develop a cutting-edge system specifically designed for charging electric vehicles using second-life batteries.

Positioned in the fast-growing cleantech space, BatX enjoys significant government support. The company secured a grant of USD 786K from the Ministry of Heavy Industries for developing technology in lithium extraction. Additionally, BatX was awarded a term loan worth USD 714k from EXIM Bank under the Ubharte Sitaare Programme for establishing a Hydrometallurgy plant, paving the path for success.

Building on these achievements, BatX is set to expand its international footprint to markets in South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore. This strategic expansion aims to meet the growing global demand for sustainable battery solutions. BatX has recycled 220 million batteries and, most recently they collaborated with the Indian government to build off-grid charging stations based on second-life batteries, a testament to their innovative and sustainable approach.

The company continues to prioritize its commitment to sustainable development goals, striving to create eco-friendly energy sources. By leveraging its advanced technologies and strategic partnerships, BatX Energies is well-positioned to lead the way in lithium battery recycling and contribute significantly to a sustainable future.
