Established in 2014 by Saurabh Marda and Radhika Choudary, Freyr Energy has emerged as a leading name in India's renewable energy sector, specializing in solar panel installations for both residential and commercial clients. With a customer base exceeding 5,000 across the country, the company is committed to making rooftop solar solutions accessible and affordable, offering zero-interest EMI, collateral-free Laon options to encourage adoption.

Freyr Energy has installed over 5,000 solar systems in 22 states, resulting in significant environmental benefits. These installations have reduced carbon emissions by approximately 82,500 tons, positively impacting nearly 2 million individuals. The company has achieved annual savings of USD 66.88 million while deploying over 60 MW of solar capacity.

Recognized for its potential, Freyr Energy was highlighted by Forbes India and D Globalist at DGEMS 2023. It raised USD 3 million from EDFI ElectriFI to support expansion efforts, attracting both international investment and local funding. Additional investors in this round included Schneider Electric Energy Asia Fund (SEEAA), Lotus Capital LLC, Maybright Ventures, and VT Capital. One of Freyr Energy's key innovations is the Freyr Energy App (formerly the SunPro+ App), which has transformed the customer experience by digitizing the entire solar process—from initial order to installation and 24/7 after-sales support. The app's latest India First feature, the AI-enabled Smart Energy Optimizer, takes savings beyond solar. Smart Energy Optimizer offers real-time insights into solar generation and energy consumption, helping customers optimize savings by up to 30%. It also enables businesses to track their carbon footprint and demonstrate their commitment to sustainability.

After successfully expanding operations in Kerala last year, this year Freyr Energy expanded operations in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, the company became the first in India to launch Solar Experience Centres, which provide interactive spaces to educate customers and facilitate informed decisions. These centers, located in Karimnagar (TS), Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada (AP), complement the Freyr Energy App by offering instant quotes, immediate loan approvals, and real-time monitoring of installations. Freyr Energy plans to establish similar centers in all cities of operation within the next two years, enhancing its omnichannel strategy to accelerate solar adoption. As Freyr Energy celebrates a decade of operations, it continues to focus on innovation, making solar rooftops more accessible for all and solidifying its leadership in the industry.
