Founded in 2016 with a mission to revolutionise quantum communication, cryptography and deliver security for the digital age while strengthening digital, cyber and technical sovereignty, QNu Labs (born in India but designed for the world) has emerged as the one of the only companies that provide end to end integrated hybrid quantum security (as products, services and a platform) and is globally recognized for its pioneering work in quantum cryptography, quantum encryption, and quantum communication. With several firsts to its name in India and worldwide, QNu Labs has consistently pushed the boundaries of cybersecurity, leveraging quantum mechanics to address vulnerabilities in classical computing systems.

Its achievements are powered by a strong in-house team of quantum researchers who have developed the company's patented flagship products. To serve overseas clients, the company established its US subsidiary, QNu Labs, Inc., in 2019, accelerating global expansion. In 2020, the company launched commercial products Armos and Tropos, establishing QNu's presence in international markets.

A landmark milestone came in June 2023, when QNu Labs engaged with the Indian Armed Forces for QKD systems, marking large-scale government defence deployments of quantum communication technology in India. In 2024, the company was recognised as one of the Select 200 companies at Forbes India - DGEMS with global business potential. Additionally, QNu’s offerings are globally compliant, including NIST, FIPS, and in compliance with the quantum communication guidelines not just from India but also from the EU, Middle East, Singapore, APAC and other countries.

Building on this momentum, in 2025, QNu Labs raised INR 60 crore (over USD 7 million) Series A round, backed by the National Quantum Mission (Part of the Government of India) and investors including Lucky Investment, Speciale Invest, Tenacity Ventures, and Singularity AMC. This brought the company’s total funding to approximately USD 20 million.

Here is QNu's transformation across five key dimensions:

  1. Revolutionary Product Portfolio: Launched QConnect (Quantum Safe VPN Tunnel to share data in transit with unbreakable encryption in the era of quantum computing), QVerse (Quantum- secure instant messaging and collaboration platform with audio and video calling), quantum-safe drone communication, and satellite communication solutions alongside flagship QShield - a trademarked comprehensive end-to-end integrated SaaS platform.
  2. Market Diversification: Expects multifold revenue growth by FY26 through enterprise penetration across enterprise, defence, telco, BFSI, automobile, government, IT, Pharma, PSUs and other critical sectors.
  3. Strategic Partnerships: Delivered 25 QKD systems to the Indian Navy (2024) and launched QNu Academy in June 2025, democratising quantum cybersecurity talent across the globe with certification from QNu and the Government of India (in alignment with the New Education Policy 2020 and UG Engineering learning curriculum on practical hands-on learning in Labs, research, internship, and job opportunities). QNu also partners with Cisco, NASSCOM, CII, AWS, Thales, ISRO, Airtel, Nokia, etc.
  4. Innovation Leadership: Built an expanding global patent portfolio with 10+ granted patents, including 3 from the USA, becoming the only company in hybrid quantum security with three quantum technologies - QRNG, QKD, and PQC.
  5. Global Expansion: Established presence across Australia, the Middle East, the US, the Far East and other countries, other than India, with products QKD, QRNG available on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal.
QNu Labs has scaled its Quantum Security-as-a-Service platform, QShield, to secure critical sectors like finance, defence, telecom, healthcare and enterprises. Through continued innovation, strategic partnerships, and global expansion, QNu Labs has firmly positioned itself as the synonym for quantum-powered security in the era of quantum computing.
