Founded in 2017 by Akash Gupta, Rashi Gupta, later joined by Tushar Mehta in 2021, Zypp Electric’s mission is to decarbonise India's logistics through an ecosystem of zero-emission electric vehicles and EV-led technology for sustainable last-mile delivery. Operating as a tech- enabled EV-Rental platform, Zypp Electric delivers carbon-free solutions for local merchants, e- commerce giants, and delivery executives, significantly reducing both delivery costs and pollution.

The company’s growth trajectory has been marked by strategic partnerships, significant funding milestones, and operational scale. In 2022, Zypp Electric raised its Series A funding from investors including We Founder Circle and entered into a strategic B2B partnership with Gogoro Inc., a global technology leader in battery-swapping ecosystems. Further, in February 2023, the company secured $25 million in Series B funding led by Gogoro with participation from Goodyear Ventures, 9Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, and other renowned investors, bringing total funds raised to $37.5 million.

Strengthening its market presence, Zypp Electric built partnerships with major delivery platforms, including Swiggy, Zomato, Zepto, Flipkart, Uber, Rapido, and Porter. In May 2024, it raised $15 million from Japanese energy giant ENEOS, valuing the company at around $285 million. That same year, Zypp Electric was recognised as a Select 200 company with global business potential at DEGMS 2024, adding another landmark achievement to its success journey.

Continuing its momentum, in January 2025, Zypp Electric further secured $10 million in Series C funding from 16 investors. Its FY25 performance reflected this growth, with revenues reaching $55 million, a 50% increase from the previous year, while its active EV fleet crossed 20,000 units and cumulative deliveries exceeded 100 million, with quick commerce accounting for 47% of deliveries, up from 30% in FY24.

Since its inception, Zypp Electric has helped avert 55Mn metric tonnes of carbon emissions through green deliveries, demonstrating that profitability and sustainability can go hand-in-hand. Looking ahead, the company aims to expand beyond its current market base and explore new markets including UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. With its tech-driven platform, visionary leadership, and proven ability to scale, Zypp Electric is not only transforming last-mile logistics in India but is also setting the stage for global expansion, with an aim to drive livelihoods, innovation, and sustainability together.
